TAKING THE TIME IT TAKES TO GROW
In early September, as the seasons coloured from summer to autumn and
A NEW HARVEST OF GRAPES WAS ON THE CUSP OF BECOMING SOMETHING NEW
we travelled from Paris to Pépin Winemakers in Alsace with a small group of creatives to spend a day amongst the vines. It was a chance to take some time out from the everyday in this unique terroir and

A craft that reflects our own, and the time we take to design, nurture and handcraft our collections.

THE WINE FLOWED AS WE IMMERSED OURSELVES IN THE VINEYARD’S AMBIENCE.

Evgenia even juggled with them, which felt like a fitting act of doing “The Opposite Thing” with the raw materials.

THE GRAPES WE HELPED TREAD WILL SPEND THE NEXT YEAR BECOMING WINE, THE SAME TIME IT TAKES FOR US TO CRAFT OUR OWN COLLECTIONS.
And when it’s ready, we’ll bring everyone back together in Paris for an evening where we can drink the wine we helped to make.
From grape to glass, it’s a celebration of the messy, human and slightly unpredictable process of making something together.
MAKING TAKES TIME.

And it’s something we’re determined not to rush. People, materials and craft are at the heart of what we do. We follow a seasonal cycle, but with our own distinct rhythm, making space to experiment and develop designs. Some pieces take months, and others take years, before we find the right blend.
Natural winemaking is a craft that takes time too. There’s a slow but playful and delicious alchemy to the process. Grape-treading is a technique that connects makers with artisanal tradition, creating something that celebrates individual character rather than standardised perfection.
