With a brush-off finish, the leather is tanned twice, initially in a lighter tan and then in a darker tan. It then undergoes a hand-brushing process to reveal glimpses of the underlying colour. Therefore, as the leather wears and creases the underlying colour becomes more visible, making each pair unique to its owner.
How To Care
Step One
To clean, lightly dampen a microfibre cloth with water and gently wipe away any dirt or dust from the leather surface.
Step Two
Ensure the cloth is damp, not wet.
Step Three
If the item has a dégradé effect, apply the cream only to the darker shades, as it can affect the lighter tones.
What to Avoid
Do not soak the leather or use a wet cloth. Water saturation can lift or warp the topcoat.
Do not use hard cloths, brushes, or abrasive pads. They can strip the finish.
Do not use oils, waxes or heavy conditioners. They weigh down the surface and smooth out the texture that makes it special.
