Natural Cow Leather is one of the popular leathers at Miista because of its durability, flexibility, and character. It’s untreated and porous, meaning every pair develops its own personality over time. But that also means it’s vulnerable to liquids, chemicals, and heat.
How To Care
Step One
Use a soft microfibre cloth to remove excess dirt and dust.
Step Two
After cleaning, apply a thin layer of hydrating cream to rehydrate the leather.
A neutral-coloured hydrating cream is recommended to prevent altering the leather's colour. For black footwear, a black hydrating cream may also be used, however, if chosen, be mindful of other materials or colours surrounding the black leather areas (e.g. white stitching).
Step Three
Once dry, use a cotton cloth to polish the leather, making sure you move around the shoe in circular motions.
What To Avoid
Do not use harsh chemicals or cleaning products.
Do not expose to radiators, hairdryers, or intense sunlight.
Do not soak the leather. It will absorb everything and won’t forgive you.
