To achieve this finish on the leather we apply a clear gloss coating to the top layer which, when dried, creates its shiny, reflective surface. This coating means that when cleaning the shoe surface, you are treating the coating, not the underlying protected leather.
To maintain their shine, gently remove dust and surface marks with a soft microfibre cloth.
Gently wipe away any dirt or dust from the surface. Ensure the cloth is damp, not wet.
Stuff and store your shoes in dust bags to keep their shape.
Do not soak the cloth. Waterlogging = streaks and regret. Patent leather is not waterproof.
Do not use brushes, abrasive cloths, or anything you’d use to scrub dishes.
Do not apply alcohol, bleach, or harsh cleaners. They strip the gloss from the shoe.
